I recently photographed two fledgling house sparrows in my garden. These birds used to be so common but have since been in decline across the UK due to habitat loss. Seeing not one but two fledged birds is a positive sign wouldn’t you agree? Have you seen any fledged birds in your garden this year? I’d love to hear your stories

I hope you have enjoyed my portfolio of wildlife shots from my latest trip to San Francisco. Would you prefer me to continue sharing U.S. wildlife? or should I go back to sharing British wildlife as usual? Let me know in the comments. I will leave it to my followers to decide

Captured this serene moment at pier 39 in San Francisco. A California sea lion resting with its head pointing upwards, gazing toward the sky. Sea lions often sleep like this to dry off. I love how the lines and curves come together in this portrait. I wonder what he is dreaming off! Any ideas? Drop your guesses in the comments

Did you know western gulls are often seen along the california coastline? Known for their adaptability, they often thrive in both urban and natural areas. They are the smaller cousin of the herring gull, very similar in looks but not quite as bold as our native gull. What’s the most surprising bird you’ve spotted on your travels?

I captured this flight shot of a California brown pelican, a bird endemic to the west coast of the USA. I’ve always wanted to see this iconic species, and when seeing it fly, it really reminded me of a pterodactyl, so prehistoric looking. It truly is a special bird which I’m really glad I got to see. Have you ever seen a brown pelican?

When I was photographing sea lions on pier 39 in San Francisco, I noticed one peacefully asleep on the jetty. After a moment, it began to stretch its flippers into the air, almost like it was waving at me. Such an unexpected moment which did make me laugh

Before I even went to San Francisco, I had this shot in mind! A californian brown pelican standing with the golden gate bridge as it's backdrop. Both iconic subjects in their own right. After many failed attempts, I finally pulled it off. I am so happy with how it came out as this was exactly how I envisioned it before disembarking on this trip. I would love to know what you all think

Since returning from an incredible trip to San Francisco, I’ve finally found time to go through my images. This shot was too cute not to share, also known as a cuddle puddle by the locals! these playful California Sea Lions slept, swam, and played together at Pier 39 which was an absolute hotspot for marine wildlife.
