Here’s Atlas from a couple of months back posing like a pro to celebrate International Dog Day. You can do a little swipey swipe to see the Lightroom version pre collar removal and pixie dust. I’m quite proud of this as it was the first time I’d handled him solo outdoors, so thankful for whatever got his attention across the way giving me this lovely curve to his frame. He’s even bigger now, and I haven’t photographed him in a while, so I should get on that asap I think!

It’s not until I’m chatting with clients in viewings that I realise how infrequently I photograph my own dogs these days, which is a shame but also at the same time means I never take the skills I have for granted. I’m also exceptionally grateful for being busy doing what I do best for other animal guardians, so thankful you for the trust - as always ❤️

This is a seminal moment in my photography career: being able to photograph The Libertines at Kendal Calling a couple of weeks ago.

An excerpt from my Kendal Calling write up with The Guest List | Music & Culture Magazine says:
“There was a time when I defined major life events as things which occurred when The Libertines were a band, and things which happened when they were broken up. Photographing them from the pit will now, firmly, be filed under the former, a genuinely seminal moment in my photography career.”

Those of you who follow me for my core business might not vibe with me posting about anything but that, and I get it, but at the same time this is what I love and this is who I am too: live music (more than most things!) and photography, so to be able to combine the two and create art of art - what a privilege.

TWO weeks from today, I'll be at WCF Pet & Equestrian in their Carlisle Rosehill store shooting some beautiful portraits of your dogs - that's if you're joining me?

If you've been following me for a while, you'll know I specialise in crafting dog portraits like no other. How do I get the shots? By letting dogs be dogs.

Atlas here was 4 months old at the time of shooting this portrait, he's a super excitable border collie and instead of trying to get him in the perfect sit (🥱) I let him do his thing and captured him having a nibble on my prop flowers. The result is 100% Atlas and our shoot was completed in less than 10 minutes.

For £35, your dog can have 15 minutes with me in store to have fun being showered with snacks to help me create something special of them. The fee includes your favourite image as a digital file ready for social media use, and £35 worth of credit if you'd like to purchase any more (but this isn't a requirement at all!).
Your dog can even be kept on lead for me to remove afterwards (see the second slide) if you're nervous about the idea of them roaming free.

Beaming with pride that my regal portrait of Royal was awarded a Silver Distinction AND was one of the Top 100 Scoring images out of 4,220 entries. To have achieved this from a client session with a horse I had never met beforehand really has given me such a boost. I absolutely love what I do, so to know that clients do (Royal's owner has this on his wall!) and that it landed so well with judges too has knocked my socks off. ❤️
