Minke Whales - North East Coast - Whitby

I went with no expectations at all but was amazed at how the sea was just bustling with these amazing Minke Whales

Every direction you looked another one appeared
The sea was a perfect flat calm and the sun was shining, perfect situation for spotting them

Dream come true 🐳

However I was not expecting the challenge of getting a good picture

Stood on a rocking boat with a heavy lens at around 400-600mm not knowing when or where these magnificent mammals were going to appear was one of biggest challenges so far

My arm was shaking and very sore by the end of the day 🤣 but am very pleased with these
