I spotted a sculptor working a raw stone in the middle of a park. Curiosity beat my hesitation, so I stopped, and luckily for me, he was happy to chat, which turned into an invitation to an outdoor photo shoot.

It’s fascinating to see an artist at work, so I’m sharing a glimpse of what we created for all of you who love sculpture.

I’m an adopted Yorkshire woman and I absolutely love it. We swapped a busy London life for Yorkshire tranquility, or so we thought! 😉
Life is still busy, but after a crazy week, we can take the dog and be walking across the incredible open moorlands or dales within half an hour.

Being part of the local community here has been fantastic. Beyond capturing photos of local solopreneurs and creatives, I support adult learners at the local university, practice yoga at Farsley OmYogaWorks (where I also contribute with content photos). Although my networking skills are still developing I connect with the wonderful Horsforth Independent Collective and the Sunshine Digital entrepreneurial support groups.

To reset, I drop into the Leeds Jamyang Buddhist Centre for meditation classes. On top of that, I’ve recently become a Yorkshire Accord coach and can't wait to start supporting people across our local partner organisations.

So, let’s proudly celebrate Yorkshire Day! I’m heading to Ilkley this weekend for the festivities, come say hello if you’re around!

Did you know that even a few days away can lift your mood and improve your energy levels? The power of taking short breaks makes us relax and focus on the outside world, finally enjoying it. I used my recent short trips to observe, notice and switch off. (And eat lots of ice creams!)🍧🍨🍦 I hope you also had a lovely break or just taking off somewhere nice. International Yoga Day

​My weekly yoga practice is non-negotiable. It brings peace and calm to my mind, allowing me to fully reconnect with my body. After several years of practice, I’ve learned to embrace the "wobble" on every level. Yoga continues to build my resilience and compassion, and for that, I am truly grateful.

​Our school, Om Yoga Works, is a wonderful local community where people of all skills and abilities are genuinely welcomed and engaged. Many students have been part of this family for over a decade, which speaks volumes about the space they’ve created.

​I am privileged to have become a content photographer for them this year. I look forward to sharing more fabulous photos of this amazing community of teachers and learners very soon!

I had a photo shoot this morning but I can't share the photos yet because they are part of a bigger project. During the setting up, someone came with lovely feedback saying the photos made them feel empowered. First I was speechless, then we had a hug😃 It's so important to know that what we do brings joy to other people. Have a peaceful weekend everyone 😃
