We took an early morning tuk tuk to the rural village of Kadambadi.

I love the way that even the small villages often have a beautiful temple, and this was one of my favourite places on the trip - the people were so friendly and welcoming.

The last rickshaws of Madurai?

Increasingly shunned by the locals in favour of the faster tuk-tuk, the dwindling number of rickshaw drivers now mainly rely on the tourist trade. Their sons aren't keen to take up the family trade, and their decline looks inevitable.

The Devaraja Market in Mysore, Karnataka, Southern India.

An absolute feast for all the senses, brimming with colour and life, with friendly stall holders and the freshest produce you could imagine. Throw in some yellow cows because it's Pongal, the Hindu Harvest Festival, and you've got a nigh on perfect afternoon.

Some people love the Mysore Palace, just around the corner, the second most visited site in India after The Taj Mahal.

Me, I'll take the market every time.

The Bradford Art Show is a celebration of the district’s vibrant and diverse visual arts, platforming and recognising local people’s experiences and creative voices at a moment when the Turner Prize is shining a national spotlight on us.

I have one of my images in, alongside lots of other fabulous local creative talent.

I'm delighted to have three images chosen for the Turn Up Exhibition at Trapezium Arts.

The exhibition will feature over 150 works by more than 80 artists and photographers from across the district. Turn Up celebrates the breadth and diversity of local talent, and visitors can expect an inspiring mix of drawing, painting, photography, textiles, crafts, sculpture, and video.

Mussarat Rahman and I are working on a project called 'Dress to Impress', to celebrate and showcase the traditional dress, textiles and jewellery of some of the ladies from around the globe who have chosen to make Bradford their home, and these images are part of that on-going work.

There will be refreshments and a chance to meet the artists at the launch event on Saturday 15th November 12-4pm. Please come along and support your local gallery - they've put so much time and hard work into this, and all on a voluntary basis.
