BWC Basketball Students take part in Prestigious Valencia International Cup.

6 Members of the BWC Basketball Academy were part of a team that took part in the Valencia Basket International Cup at the beginning of the year.

Valencia is home of the l’Alqueria Del Basket which is probably the best basketball facility in Europe. Home to Valencia Basket it is an amazing facility featuring everything an aspiring basketballer could hope for.

The Cup brought teams from 10 different countries to compete against each other.

Our Players represented themselves with pride by winning their group stage with 3 wins and Zero Losses. They were finally beaten in a hard fought Semi Final against a tough Spanish team.

It was a great learning experience and bonding excersise along with 22 degree weather in early January.

It serves to be a good preparation for the Bracknell and Wokingham team as they challenge over the next 3 months to strive to bring the Academy league National Championship to Bracknell. .cobras

BWC take a step closer to the semi-final with a 61-44 Victory over CB Murgi.

In a highly physical game with everything at stake for top spot in the group BWC managed to show their quality and prevail over the tough CB Murgi.

Some great performances by BWC players mean that one more win and we secure our group and progress to the semi finals.

BWC Playmaker Claim their first game against Valencia Basket

The game looked comfortable for BWC early on but some great shooting from Valencia brought them back into the game. BWC closed the game with some clutch Free Throw shooting and plays.
