A real highlight to the end of 2023, capturing Britain's (and arguably one of the leading global) greatest ultra runner Tom Evans for the cover and feature of the latest Red Bull magazine, The Red Bulletin.

Shot on location in the Leicestershire Alps with a great crew and then at Loughborough Uni sports lab, where Tom seemingly had no problem being stabbed in the ear after each interval by a sports scientist.

An incredible insight for me into what it takes to compete at the highest level at a sport which has dominated my heart for over a decade now.

New Work for Ronhill shooting their new lifestyle range with runners Becky and Das around a sunny but chilly Bournemouth recently.

Well over a decade ago, as I was transitioning from photographer of everything toward shooting with fitness brands I loved the look of, I remember hand printing promos and mailing them out all over the UK & wider afield. One of them went out to iconic British running brand - they had authentic heritage and produced the most iconic piece of run-wear (the blue track pants) that I remember every 'proper' runner back in the eighties wore!

Another decade passed with many more mailers, e-mails and hopeful pleas to work together seemingly ignored. Until one day recently an e-mail dropped into my inbox from Maria at Ronhill asking if I'd like to chat about a new lifestyle range coming out in 2023.

The moral of this lengthy post? Be persistent, trust the drip-feed method of marketing and don't be dis-heartened when you hear nothing back. Good things take time to happen but they're worth waiting for!

Here's the fruits of our first collaboration, shooting the new lifestyle range with proper running people (and all round legends) Das & Becky in and around Bournemouth on a bright but nippy winter's day.

The in action underwater in the stunning Cayman Islands.

Leica loaned me this incredible camera for our Cayman Adventures shoot for (5 yrs ago now😭). It’s a 16.2MP APS-C with a 23mm f1.7 that produces top quality imagery in an unbelievably accessible format. Often when shooting under/on water a housing isn’t appropriate and this is my recommendation for a lightweight, go-to alternative that doesn’t sacrifice quality.
