It has been an absolute blast capturing so many gorgeous location sessions recently, and this one was extra special! There’s something I just love about photographing the whole family together — especially when you have a big group like this. 🥹

And I have to say, Burghley House in Stamford will always be one of my favourite locations 😍 The stunning grounds make the perfect backdrop for relaxed, natural family photos.

The best thing about location sessions? They can take place anywhere that means something to you! Whether that’s your favourite park, your garden, somewhere the children love to explore or a beautiful location like this one, the choice is completely yours.

Warning: cake smash sessions may result in sticky fingers, messy faces and a serious sugar rush 😂🎂

Cake smash sessions will forever be one of my favourites because you genuinely never know what you’re going to get… straight into the cake, a cautious little finger dip or absolutely no interest until Mum gets involved 😂

This little teddy bear absolutely smashed his session (and the cake!) 🧸🤎

These milestone moments go far too quickly, so why not capture them with a session full of balloons, cake, mess and lots of giggles!

Double the babies, double the cuddles… double the trouble? 👀🤍

These two were absolute little dreams during their newborn session, sleeping their way through and making my job look easy! 🥹

I mean… can we just take a moment for those tiny matching poses?! 🤍🤍

Being a twin must be pretty great though… built-in best friend from day one (even if they do have to share absolutely everything 😂).

🤰✨ THE COUNTDOWN IS OFFICIALLY ON… 6 WEEKS TO GO! ✨🤰

I honestly can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m officially 6 weeks away from going on maternity leave! 🥹💕

With the countdown on, my diary is filling up FAST. I only have 2 Saturdays left available before I head off, and they are already almost full! 😱

I’m going to do my absolute best to fit as many of you in as I can before Baby Ray arrives, which means I’ll be opening up extended hours and some additional days where possible. 📸✨

🌻✨ That’s a wrap on my 2026 seasonal mini sessions! ✨🌻

What a gorgeous day at Tyrrell’s Farm for my Sunflower Mini Sessions! 💛 We had so much fun capturing memories amongst the sunflowers, and it was the perfect way to finish my seasonal sessions before I head off on maternity leave. 🥹

But don’t worry… I’ll be back in the spring with my Bluebell Seasonal Mini Sessions! 💙🌿 I can’t wait!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined me, and also to Tyrrell’s Farm for letting us enjoy their beautiful sunflower field. 🌻

🤍✨ Those tiny newborn days… ✨🤍

There really is something so special about capturing them when they’re this tiny. Those little fingers, teeny toes, sleepy faces and all those gorgeous newborn details that change far too quickly. 🥹

This little one was an absolute dream in the studio — so peaceful and content. 🤍

Newborn sessions are all about slowing down, soaking up those first precious days and creating memories you’ll treasure forever. ✨

🦆💛 ONE-derful! 💛🦆

Someone’s officially hit the big ONE… and what better way to celebrate than with ducks, balloons, cuddly toys and a whole lot of cuteness?! 🥹🎈

This little guy absolutely smashed his cake smash session — although I think the cake may have been the only thing that didn’t quite get smashed! 😂🎂

I LOVE capturing these first birthdays. They’re messy, fun, full of personality and make the sweetest memories to look back on. 🥰

🤍 A Little Maternity Leave Update 🤍

As many of you know, Baby Ray will be making their arrival this autumn, so I just wanted to give you all a little update on what the rest of the year will look like for Bourne Photographic Studios.

I’ll be working right up until 12th October, when I’ll officially be heading off on maternity leave. 💛

Before then, I still have two fantastic events coming up:

📚 Back to School Mini Sessions
📅 19th–29th August
✨ 30-minute session
📸 5 edited digital images included
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Perfect for siblings, families or celebrating a new school year.

🎄 Christmas Mini Sessions
📅 25th & 26th September, plus 2nd, 3rd & 4th October
✨ 15-minute session
💛 Just a £15 booking fee, including one free digital image
🎁 Additional images available to purchase, with prints and gifts also available.

I’m hoping to return for a couple of Saturdays in December to capture a few extra Christmas sessions for those who miss out before my leave. The exact dates are still to be confirmed, so keep an eye on my page!

Looking ahead to the new year, things will be a little different. I’ll be easing back into work, so appointments will be very limited and by appointment only while I find my feet with motherhood. 🥹
