Well, it’s a grey old day out there today, but we most certainly need the rain, and it certainly hasn’t put this little fellow off from collecting some nuts to bury somewhere in the garden ready for when the weather deteriorates 😊 🐿️ 🥜.

Beautiful garden visitor the other day😍

This little beauty paid my garden a visit, the other day. A juvenile Green Woodpecker, having a busy time eating the abundance of ants that the recent rain have brought to the surface. Photos taken through the kichen window, so picture quality is not the greatest 😐.

Was very excited to see this little beauty in the garden, yesterday morning. It is of course, a juvenile Green Woodpecker. It was busily eating the many ants that were about.

These beautiful little Hummingbird Hawk moths have been in abundance this year, due to the warm dry weather we have been experiencing. Mick and I had never seen one before this year, and it has been quite a challenge trying to photograph them as they dart about so quickly. Their wings beat approximately 75 times per second, and unlike most moths, they appear during the daytime. They have a broad black and white tufted rear end part to their body that helps stabilise their hovering manoeuvres. They are so lovely to watch😊.

Two stunning buck Roe deer

Walking along a track, when a couple of beautiful buck Roe deer, appeared from a small wooded area. Don’t think they knew my partner and I were there to start with, as one of them headed towards us, but soon stopped when it heard the clicking of our cameras. Wonderful to see😍🦌

Saturday morning walking along a track, hoping to spot some Hares, when a couple of beautiful buck Roe deer, appeared from a small wooded area. Don’t think they knew Mick and I were there to start with, as one of them headed towards us, but soon stopped when it heard the clicking of our cameras. Wonderful to see😍🦌
