Noticed these ants trying to drag a dead spider on my path, the other day. Went out a few hours later, and just one of its legs was protruding from between a slab and some gravel. Would have been interesting to have filmed it, in hindsight😏.

We were excited to come across a Male Great Spotted Woodpecker feeding its young whilst out walking the other day. Love this time of year with all the new life that surrounds us, be it in the garden, countryside, towns😍.

Is it hot enough for everyone?🥵
Mick and I spent Bank Holiday weekend at Bempton cliffs. Although, it was a poor show as regards to seeing any Puffins, we did manage to spot a first for us…a Spotted Flycatcher!😊

Spent a day at RSPB Rye Meads a couple of weeks ago. A pair of Kingfishers were showing well, as they were feeding young not far from one of the bird hides. Considering how fast they fly, I think we did pretty well capturing them in flight😀.
Mick has some video footage of them diving that we will be putting up shortly.

❤️Cuteness overload!!❤️
What looked like being just a pleasant Saturday afternoon walk, turned out to be maybe a once in a lifetime sighting for Mick and I😊.
Mick was trying out his new thermal imaging camera, scanning the trees as it had been one of those walks where there was plenty of bird activity(lots of noise), but very few sightings. Then there, he/she, sat high in a tree a Long Eared Owlet! Oh my word, never seen such a beautiful bundle of fluff, staring down at us😍. We quickly took some photos, then left it in peace, as not to disturb it, and not knowing where the parents were. But, oh my, it certainly made this walk one to remember!😍 🦉 ❤️.

Nice to see the Goldfinches re-appearing in our garden, adding a little colour amongst our usual residents😊
