Belvoir Castle, pronounced “Beaver,” is a historic Leicestershire estate with nearly 1,000 years of history, serving as the seat of the Dukes of Rutland since 1508. Originally a Norman motte-and-bailey fortress built in 1067 by Robert de Todeni, it has been rebuilt four times, with the current, romanticized Regency-style castle designed in the early 19th century.
