Yesterday I got to shoot this wonderful couple alongside my best friend Romeo at the The Frogmill in Gloucester.

An absolute Candid Goldmine, and an extraordinary collection of guests who made us feel so welcome (a special shoutout to the one guy who's hand I accidentally went to shake as he held the toilet door open for me for some reason 💀💀💀)

We did Photo & Video on this one, and realistically I should have waited to post this until the trailer was done. But as Luke Romeo of ROMEO WEDDING FILMS was on photos they were far too dope not to post immediately 😭 so two posts of these guys it is 🫡

From 2026 onwards, I'm now officially an EMMY NOMINATED filmmaker 🏆

I've never entered any awards before - I've been put forward twice, but then the awards companies ask for some money to participate and thats when I respectfully decline.

My main issue with awards has always been - who exactly is qualified to judge art in the first place?

Realistically, you're paying for a badge of honour that doesn't mean nearly as much as making a sick film.

If you want to win an award, you have to chase it, which means putting your focus on "beating the competition" and frankly I chased a career in weddings to escape that corporate nonsense.
..besides, in the weddings game, I've seen some winners that are dogsh*t lol...

This aside - it was by huge surprise that I got an email telling me we been nominated for an Emmy on account of the work we did in Japan last year.

And as The Emmys was an award that I'd actually heard of before, I was suddenly pretty keen lol

For this particular project, I was just one part of a much bigger team including , Luke Romeo, , Luc and many others...

but as so much of Maven Visuals Wedding Films is ultimately my editing (I haven't paid someone to help with a single piece of editing work in all 10 years), being nominated for a world class award for it felt particularly relevant hahah.

So whilst I still believe awards are mostly just a silly marketing gimmick, I am in fact very proud of this one and will be hanging it in my office forever 🫡

Mr & Mrs Osmond at the wonderful on one of the hottest days of the year 😭

One of the greatest atmospheres at a wedding of all time, most notably due to getting to work alongside , and Amiee of the Barn at Pengelly.

Having the photographer be a legitimate stand-up comedian is a cheat code btw.

If any future couples could bring me back to Barn at Pengelly soon I'd love that 🫡🗓️
