Tonight, I am sharing some images of two Willenhall churches that I captured in the drizzle earlier this evening.
Firstly, St Stephen the Martyr on Wolverhampton Street, built in 1979. The current church stands on almost the same site as the original building, which was completed in 1854. The original church building was constructed in the Gothic style, and can be seen in this image:

The following two images show what I consider to be a fine example of the traditional Black Country non-conformist chapel. This chapel is Mount Olive Apostolic Church at Temple Bar, formerly known as Little London Baptist Church. The Baptist movement in Willenhall was originally founded in 1792 as the Little London Baptist Church. The chapel seen here was opened for worship in the mid nineteenth century, to accommodate a growing congregation moving into a town with a flourishing lock industry.
