Feeling grateful for this share by Lancashire Wildlife Trust, a great organisation that deals with themes that really speak to me and inspire much of my work 🙏🏻

My exhibition runs until the 19th of October at HIVE Urban Farm Shop / HIVEArts. The prints are all for sale and generously priced considering the time and effort involved plus the high standard of the paper and backing materials.

There are deals on multiple purchases and it will be massively appreciated seeing as my daughter is due to arrive with us any hour now 👶🏼❤️

Send me a DM if interested 👍🏻

Check out this art exhibition by talented digital artist and photographer IAMSAM "Visually Exploring the Anthropocene" running until October 19th at HIVE Urban Farm Shop

IAMSAM and Sam Wallis Photo going under a restructure and rebrand.

Personally, I like to keep my logos clean and simple but if you’ve seen my Adobe work in the past, you’ll know I’m capable of far more.

I’m wanting to do more freelance work when I can fit it in, so if you’re looking for a new logo, poster design or promo video then give me a shout.

I’ll be doing some unbeatable rates as I look to build a fresh portfolio 👌🏻

Spent the last few days turning my hand to filming and editing. Something I really want to do with my environmental art is make my exhibitions more immersive. Taking a cue from bands such as Mogwai, who fuse moving image and audio with great affect.

This is by no means mind blowing but, considering 3 days ago I knew very little about using a gimbal, shooting video or editing with transitions, fx and text movement, I’m feeling a sense of accomplishment. Now I can’t wait to learn more 💪🏻

Many thanks to Lucinda at Blackpool Gazette for writing this amazing article on my work and upcoming exhibition at HIVE Urban Farm Shop.

Also thankyou to Dawn and Kate at HIVEArts for organising this and the exhibition.

A photography student from Blackpool was thrilled to get advice from award-winning National Geographic photographer, Mandy Barker, on some art pieces that will be shown in a new exhibition throughout September.

Trip back to my home town today for a chat with Lucinda from the Blackpool Gazette.

Obviously I couldn’t resist a blueberry muffin from the HIVE Urban Farm Shop.

I’m yet to eat something from there that I haven’t enjoyed so I can’t think of a better place to showcase my work.

Visit my event page for more details or give me a message 👍🏻

Huge thanks to the HIVEArts team for organising and giving me the opportunity.

I’m hopeless at social media but it’s only a month away from the opening night of my first solo exhibition at HIVEArts Blackpool so I thought I’d share some images that I had no intention of exhibiting.

Alas they are now printed on some beautiful Hahnemühle h**p paper and backed, ready to hang.

“Often ignored, but nevertheless important, is the hidden wonder that comes from nature reclaiming its rightful space after it has been impeded by our need for ‘progress’ and to ‘expand’.

Through the gaze of macro photography, Terrarum Exiguum showcases both the beauty and fragility that can be realised when we view ecological succession and human interaction with the natural world via a different perspective.

Utilising a shallow depth of field, I am creating a visual tension and inviting the viewer to consider the importance tiny ecosystems hold in relation to the planet on a larger scale.

Each image is named after it’s What 3 Words location, providing a unique and engaging photography experience where the constant struggle for place, between ourselves and the natural world can be visualised by the viewer in real time.

Moving away from current photographic trends surrounding the Anthropocene.

Terrarum Exiguum is a landscape in miniature.”
