For those of you who may know a spot that's beside water here in the North East that could benefit from a bit of TLC, access or facilities upgrades, that sort of thing.

Being by water – a river, stream, reservoir, the sea – is something many of us love 💚

But do you know such a place that could benefit from our exciting new environmental commitment? 😍

We’re going above and beyond what’s required of us by regulators and pledging to make improvements to 50km of the water environment – those spots next to water – and we want your suggestions.

So, if you have a favourite spot that could do with a bit of help with things like litter, supporting wildlife, access and facilities, now’s your chance to put the case for our help.

Each idea nominated must be accessible to the public and meet at least two out of the following three criteria:

✅ Improved river or sea water quality.
✅ Improved wildlife and biodiversity.
✅ Improved access or recreational facilities around a water attraction, for example, toilets, benches, play areas, paths, information points and disabled access.

Where's your favourite place by water in the North East. Could be a chance to see it benefit from Northumbrian Water's exciting new environmental commitment.

We all have a favourite spot near water. A riverside, next to a lake, a local stream or stretch of coast.

But do you know one that needs a helping hand? We know things like wildlife, litter, access and facilities are just as important to you.

In an industry first, we’re going beyond the type of work required of us and want to deliver wider improvements to at least 50km of the accessible environment around water across our operating areas over the next five years.

💚 So now we’re asking YOU to nominate places to benefit from this new commitment.

Each idea nominated must be accessible to the public and meet at least two out of the following three criteria:

💚 Improved wildlife and biodiversity.

💚 Improved access or recreational facilities around a water attraction, for example, toilets, benches, play areas, paths, information points and disabled access.
