At the tender age of 15 I decided that with my hard earned Saturday job money I would buy a camera, together with my first pair of Levis! My bright shiny new toy would be there for the start of my adventure into photography, until I was finally seduced away by the world of digital. I would take it with me to concerts, and flash away all night. My idea of heaven was a night rocking out to local ban
ds, which later led to going to bigger concerts to see the likes of Thin Lizzy. It was always with anticipation that I would rush off to Jacobs to get my film developed not knowing what the results would be. Yes there would always be an image where there was a head cropped off or that stray finger obscuring the viewfinder. I was never disappointed. It was later on that I was finally given a digital camera, small enough to pop into my pocket. My dream though was to purchase a “proper” camera, one with lenses that I could take off, and then maybe I could actually become a “real photographer”. In 2010 I finally purchased my first real camera, my Nikon D3000. This was the start of my new photographic journey with Nikon, one that I am continuing.
