As part of my work, I have the privilege of connecting with families during their maternity and baby photoshoots, where I get to listen to their personal experiences and birthing journeys. One common theme I often hear from mums and dads is the importance of the energy they surround themselves with, and how crucial it is to be mindful of the environment they are in.

I know that navigating this can be challenging at times, but there are three key things that can help protect your energy:

1. Distance yourself from negative situations.
2. Surround yourself with positivity, whether it’s through uplifting music or prayers.
3. Set clear boundaries—if something doesn’t feel right or you’re not in the mood to go somewhere, it’s okay to say no.

Remember, your energy is precious and needs to be protected!
