At the present time the technology to automatically dial the police using devices like Amazon Echo or Google Home Hub is not available and the only secure emergency response is via certified security monitoring stations.

Connect 4 Security is an approved supplier and installer of monitored home security systems that can provide emergency police response.

In the event of alarm activation, a signal is automatically sent to our monitoring station identifying whether police or fire presence is required. Upon receipt, the police will be notified under a Level 1 response service. In addition, your monitored security station will also alert your key holders who are required to attend the property to await the arrival of the emergency services. They should be able to attend an event within 20 minutes and wait until the police service are on site.

Following the latest weather forecasts for snow and with continued freezing temperatures, we thought we'd share this advice from the police about making sure your windscreens are fully defrosted and clear before you take to the roads.

Just like most security advice, it seems obvious when you think about it but sometimes busy lives get in the way.

In the same way that running late for work can cause you to forget to lock the front door, close the bathroom window or not set the alarm, driving with an iced up window can have serious consequences.

Why not set your alarm a little earlier for tomorrow morning so you can leave for work with confidence.

Please take care if you are driving on Wiltshire's roads this morning - it is still incredibly icy in a lot of areas and we've already attended 10 collisions across the county this morning due to these conditions. Take care, ensure your windscreens - both front and back, side windows, and lights, are all defrosted before you set off, and leave extra time for your journey
