What to watch? π₯
It might seem like there's nothing new to watch on TV at the moment with everything that's going on. The TV schedules have gone a bit crazy due to sports and soaps being cancelled, but I can assure you there are at least three new TV programmes to watch this week, two tonight and one tomorrow!
How do I know? Well, I worked on them!
So kick back and tune in...
β Great British Menu:
Series 15 of GBM starts tonight at 8pm on BBC TWO.
This series focuses on the chefs creating dishes which follow the theme of children's literature. Given the sad news that the Bournville BookFest for Schools programme will not be running this week, this might be a good alternative to get your literature fix with a twist!
My role on this show was a "Shooting Camera Assistant", I travelled to Manchester, York and Bath to film three of the chefs who will be competing this year π©βπ³
β How To Look Good Naked:
Episode 3 of Gok Wan's HTLGN airs tonight at 9pm on REALLY.
This show is a real feel good show, so many people struggle with self love in this day and age. By showing the ladies how to dress and that real bodies come in all shapes and sizes, Gok helps them to learn how to love themselves.
My role in this was a "Runner", sometimes known as a "Production Assistant", the role was based at the Bullring in Birmingham for the catwalk shows.
As a runner your job is to keep the production running as smoothly as possibl. Amongst other things (including being made to dance *badly* on stage) I looked after some of the contributors who star in the show and helped the crew with moving and setting up equipment. βοΈ
β The Station - Trouble on the Tracks:
Episode 2 of The Station: Trouble on the Tracks airs tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV.
On this show I was a "Runner" which formed into a "Camera Assistant" role. During the show's filming I helped carry equipment, set up microphones, get consent forms signed, change lenses, prep equipment and fix parts of the cameras when necessary (again, amongst other things). It was a very fast paced role, based mainly at Birmingham New Street station but we also ventured to Manchester, Wolverhampton and some other areas.
If you're into trains and or documentaries then please do have a watch! π
