You hear us talking about documentary wedding photography, but you are not sure what it actually means?

Documentary photography is basically trusting that real life already looks good enough without turning your wedding into a production.

It just means your wedding gets to feel like… your wedding.

Like nobody’s constantly pulling you away from conversations. Nobody’s making you fake laugh at the camera for 20 minutes or stopping real moments to “do that again.”

You actually get to be present.

The photos come from the day instead of the day being built around the photos.

And that’s usually when the best images happen anyway. When people stop performing. When your dress is slightly messy, everyone’s a bit emotional, timelines are falling apart a little, your friends are screaming on the dance floor, your parents are looking at you trying not to cry.

That’s the stuff you’ll actually care about later.
Not whether every photo looked perfectly curated for Instagram.

Courtney and Liam’s wedding was a beautiful, family-centred day, with little ones included naturally into every part of it. Courtney and her sister had both welcomed babies not long before the wedding, so having the children there felt completely natural. We love how everything was relaxed, joyful, and genuinely centred around the people they love most.

We belive there’s something incredibly special about including your children in your wedding day. They may be too young to remember every moment themselves, but one day they’ll look back through your wedding album and see that they were part of it all from the very beginning ♥️

We recently had several conversations with couples about black&white photos. We are so glad you like them as much as we do.

As much as we love colour photos, the absence of it makes you focus more on the subject and emotions.

Our wedding galleries are a mix of colour and b&w photos. I've never counted it (maybe I should?), but about 15% of the final images are b&w.
