What’s your thoughts on content creators for weddings?
We had the pleasure of sharing someone’s big day recently with one and she was great. Really nice and I’m sure she supplied some great little keepsakes
I have no idea of what she costs but I’m sure it’s worth it.
But this weekend I was told by a friend that she enquired about getting a creator in and she was changing a £1000 for the day!! 🫨🫨🫨
Now this is ridiculous. Number of issues with this
-The wedding is shot on a iPhone
-The editing programme is probably Capcut which is free to use for anyone
- it’s turned around in 1 to 2 days!
THIS IS NOT WORTH A £1000 OF ANYONES MONEY
For that price you 💯 need to be getting a videographer otherwise you are crazy!
Dont get me wrong, for some quick turn around videos to wack on your insta, brilliant. But if you’re paying someone this kind of money you need your head seeing to 😂
Photographer and videographers pay 1000s for their gear
Our camera and 1 lens costs around £5k. We have multiple lenses and a lot of other gear.
I have no doubt that some videographers and photographers have £20k plus of camera gear!
Then there’s the hours of training
Then the hours of edited that’s required after each wedding.
The editing software we pay for.
The insurances.
When you book a videographer or photographer, this is what you are paying for. Not for someone to rock up with their iPhone 14 and take a few videos and cap cut!!
I’m all for creators being a part of someone’s wedding but please be realistic on what you are charging and offering!
