This is one of my favourite images. It’s not technically perfect, mostly because it was in a bad area and there was a creepy character walking out from an alley on the left and towards me. If you look closely you might see him. It really was a case of down on knee, snap, snap, snap, scarper!!!

Half of me wants to tidy it up, half of me wants to leave it. I dunno. The original has the element of fear and hurriedness!

I took this at Cloud Gate, Chicago. I wondered who or what the lady was waiting for. She looked fed up. Her posture, the arms folded across her chest showed impatience. Was she waiting for another photographer to hurry up, or had someone let her down (again)? I’d love to go back in time and ask.
