Some weddings just feel like magic… and Nicola & Scott’s Valentine’s Day wedding at Cornhill Castle was exactly that ✨

A crisp winter’s day, the softest golden sunlight pouring through the hills, and temperatures that had everyone questioning their life choices by the group shot🥶😂 But honestly? The cold was worth it for that glow.

From frozen fingers clutching prosecco to windswept cuddles that belonged in a movie scene, the whole day felt warm in all the ways that mattered most. The laughter, the happy tears, the “we finally did it” smiles — pure joy from start to finish ❤️

And can we take a moment for a Valentine’s wedding? Bold. Romantic. Slightly risky if either of you forget anniversaries in future 😅

I honestly can’t believe I’m writing this… but Biggar Picture Photography has just been named Photographer of the Year at the 2025 Your Scottish Wedding Awards! 😭💛
To say I’m delighted doesn’t even come close — I’m completely blown away. This is such an incredible honour, and I’m beyond grateful to everyone who’s supported me along the way. From the very beginning, my goal has always been simple — to give every couple the very best service and experience I possibly can, and this award feels like a beautiful reflection of that journey.
Over the years, I’ve had the absolute privilege of working with hundreds of amazing couples, each one with their own story, laughter, and love. From Annabelle & Harry, my very first couple, and Vicki & Tam, who were the first to take a chance on me, through to so many wonderful people like Ben & Holly, Robyn & Craig, Lianne & Jonathan, Andrea & Scott, and even friends like Claire & Robert and Owen & Ryan — these names are just a tiny snapshot of the incredible journey I’ve been lucky enough to share with so many of you. And to those of you still waiting for your big day — I honestly can’t wait to capture your moments too.
When I started out, I never imagined photography would take me here. What a ride it’s been — full of laughter, happy tears, muddy shoes, wild Scottish weather, and some of the best people I’ve ever met. Every single couple has played a part in this, and I can’t thank you enough for trusting me to be part of your stories.
And of course, the biggest thank you goes to my family especially my amazing other half and our two wee ones. You’re the reason I do what I do. You keep me grounded, cheer me on, and remind me why capturing love stories matters so much.
