It's The Guild Of Photographers Image OF The Month results again and I had a stonking month with these three images of a GTR all attaining Silver. Very chuffed with that!! It's been a good year with the cars, only one more month left to enter, and next year I might even have a stab at qualifying for Craftsman with the Guild.

A few more images from last week's shoot on Pirate Day. Here we have the awesome Nissan GTR...Or should that be GT-AaaarrrrrrrrRR, considering the occasion?! Ridiculously hot and bright, but still we managed to get some cool rig shots with the help of some very heavy ND filters to allow for the long exposures.
A pretty car it isn't, but there is something quite beautiful about those sculpted and muscular lines that shows it means business. A truly awesome machine.

I had a marvellous shoot on Sunday with Mem from Bentleys Steakhouse involving a couple of cars that I've been longing to shoot for quite some time. Here is his stunningly restored and modded (restomodded?) Mk2 Golf Gti.

We went to Hastings' underground carpark early(ish) in the morning before the place started filling up with PIRATES! Yes, we accidentally timed the shoot to coincide with Pirate Day. Fortunately, we got all the shots we needed before we were surrounded by rapscallions.

It was the 21st yesterday which means the monthly results for The Guild Of Photographers Image Of The Month competition. Another pretty good month with two silvers and a high bronze for the rear-view of the Z4. Rear views seem to score less for some reason, personally that image is my favourite of the three, but what do I know :-)
Still very chuffed!

Another after/before of a deserving car we saw at the Autolicious show last weekend. This stunning Ford Capri was built from scratch by Century Motorsport and is utterly stunning. Check out the width of those rear tyres!!

We had a wonderful weekend away with the kids at Legoland, and on the way home we stopped by at the Holmes Hill Estate for a few hours. We had the pleasure of seeing some amazing cars including a couple of very rare Astons, Gus Burton and his stunning Porsche Cup Car and a set of cars owned by the legend that is
What better way to end the weekend?
And just FYI, there are a few photos here that were actually taken by my ten-year-old daughter, see if you can tell which ones. :-)

I had a fantastic shoot over the weekend with a beautifully maintained Alfa Romeo S4 Spider. I took a selection of stills and rig-shots. Here are the stills, I'll share the rig-shots tomorrow.

The sun was very bright with barely a cloud in the sky, which made lighting the car a little tricky, so I went for a subtle lighting simply to highlight the edges, creases and folds of the sweeping Italian lines. There was also a lot of photoshopping of dead flies which landed on the car and were instantly cooked. Foolish flies!!

It was the 21st over the weekend, which means results day with The Guild Of Photographers and I managed two "high" Bronzes (which is just a bronze but with the added annoyance of saying that you were so close to getting a silver but not quite good enough!). However, along with those Bronze awards I also received a GOLD! (Always believe in your soul...) for Leon's immaculate BMW e89 Z4, so I'm very pleased indeed!!
