We may be human, but when compared to trees, we can draw some pretty good similarities. Nothing in life is permanent, much like the way trees shed their leaves in autumn. The leaves fall in order so that the trees can conserve energy, and the leaves decompose and feed the trees. Everything in our lives, friends, family, experiences, opportunities, are temporary. When our metaphorical leaves have dropped, we mustn’t waste our energy trying to get them back, and instead, we must grow from those old leaves, and make new ones.
