Purse Net
If during a hunt a fox goes to ground (hides in a tunnel, such as a badger sett), a terrier dog will be sent down one hole, whilst the net will be pegged over the entrance of another. When the fox is flushed out by the terrier, it will get caught in the net. Trail hunting is a lie - the fox is always in danger.
This image is part of my university major project "SAB", and the traps featured in these photos were kindly lent to me by a sab who has collected them over their years of sabbing fox hunts and the badger cull. More photos to come soon!
