On my way up an 850ft climb to look at some rocks called 'The Trinnacle' for some reason, I saw this view. A characterful rocky outcrop with the Manchester skyline in the distance, so I did the natural thing and took about 300 photos, as you do. I eventually got to the apparently famous aforemention...

I'm extremely lucky to have Kinder Scout literally at my back door, so the other day I went for a short stroll up towards Mount Famine - not actually a mountain, but I did feel pretty hungry when I got there so the name is half right. On my way up I bumped into a few of my neighbours having their lu...

A wide panoramic shot of the Kinder Scout plateau covered in a light dusting of snow. Captured from an amazing viewpoint along the Peak Forest Canal in Disley, showing the scale and grandeur of the only true mountain in the Peak District National Park. The spire of St Mary's Catholic Church in New M...

On the moorlands at the very edge of the Peak District, a lone tree braves winter's relentless chill, its branches frozen by the endless gusts of icy wind that sweep across the hillside. I could have spent a long time here trying different compositions, but sadly I had to carry on moving as I was eq...

Beamish Museum, County Durham UK A glimpse into Northern England's past. A vintage LGOC bus rumbles past a weathered shed adorned with iconic enamel signs for Oxo and Brooke Bond Tea, capturing the essence of daily life in the early 20th century.

Lots of very talented photographers (and myself, somehow) have been approved by the people running Lumenira to use it to share the fruits of our (often fruitless) endeavours. There's no AI stuff allowed, everything you'll see on there was captured by those posting it, and to me it's what Instagram was supposed to be in the beginning.

Figured I'd start things off on there with one of my favourite photos from a couple of year ago, there's a couple more photos on my profile at the moment - which were the ones good enough to convince those running it to let me loose on there - please give it a visit, and if you're a photographer yourself it's definitely worth looking into joining!

(I'm probably going to abandon Instagram if this works out, so for the sake of my hatred of Instagram I really hope it works out)
