A weekend that reminded us what community celebrations are all about.

This year was especially meaningful as Berwick came together to celebrate the 80th Salmon Queen. A tradition that has been part of the town’s story for generations, and one that continues to bring the community together today.

From live music, dancers and storytellers to fairground rides, local food, family activities and streets full of people enjoying the sunshine, Berwick was full of life.

It was all hands on deck for us too. Sarah was capturing the photographs, Stella was behind the scenes with a camera in hand, and Amber was weaving through the crowds filming the atmosphere, performances and little moments that brought the weekend to life. Every clip came together to create the reel you’re watching now.

The laughter, the applause, children dancing and people of all ages celebrating a tradition that has brought Berwick together for 80 years.

If you couldn’t make it this year, we hope this gives you a little taste of what the Salmon Queen weekend is all about.

Annaluisa Wood who works at Berwick Infirmary has been named as one of Berwick's new kings and queens - here she is in a handmade crown by Deborah Boyd Whyte.

Come behind the scenes with us on a brand shoot for Greenwoods Accountants.

This one was not your average day at the office. Sarah and I started in Bamburgh, headed along to Seahouses for a few shots around the harbour, and then somehow found ourselves on a farm, off-roading through fields in a Defender, trying to look professional while also keeping a very respectful distance from the cows.

There was fresh air, a fair bit of mud, plenty of laughter and some very characterful animals who may or may not have understood the brief.

A brilliant, slightly chaotic day with Gill, Gareth and Mark creating brand content for a local business with a lot of personality. JH Greenwood and Company
