5 Reasons you definitely shouldn't book a family photoshoot...

We've all got excuses.

"The kids won't behave."
"I want to lose a bit of weight first."
"We'll do it next year."

The truth? There is no perfect time. Life is messy, children are wonderfully unpredictable, and that's exactly what makes this season worth remembering.

So if you've been waiting for "one day", maybe this is your sign to stop waiting.

An evening photoshoot isn't just beautiful (although that soft, golden light is perfect!) it's a much cooler time of day, its an exciting time for a family adventure and it's the best time to create memories your little ones will be talking about for months afterwards.

Family photoshoots are all child led. Not one photoshoot is the same as another and they are all centred around your family and your children! We play games, we run, we explore and we connect in all the best ways!

One of the questions I get asked most often is:

“What’s the best time for a photoshoot?”

And honestly… timing makes SUCH a difference.

That soft, glowy light you see in dreamy family photos?
It usually isn’t taken at midday.

The time of day affects:
- the mood of your photos
- how flattering the light is
- whether children are hot/tired
- how relaxed the session feels overall

But don’t worry — you don’t need to figure it all out yourself.

Part of my job is guiding you to the best time for YOUR family, your children, and the type of session you want

(And no… cloudy weather does NOT ruin photos!)

There are some people you come across who are just exceptional at what they do — and here is one of them 💫

I recently had the pleasure of photographing an open clinic for Caroline Kinash, a brilliant physio based right here in Benson — and it felt only right to share just how incredible she is at what she does.
I’ve personally been to see Caz many times over the years for pilates my own rehab, and every single time I come away feeling reassured, understood, and in the best hands. Her level of knowledge is amazing — she’s constantly learning, staying up to date through courses and scientific research, and it really shows in the way she works.

What I love most is how she takes the time to explain things properly, gently correcting any misconceptions and helping you actually understand your body. And somehow, even when you’re being examined (which isn’t always the most fun!), she makes the whole experience feel relaxed and calm.
If you’re local and ever in need of a physio, I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend her 🤍
