PANTERA Review 25th Feb London Wembley OVO arena:
After 20 years absent from the touring scene and the tragic deaths of Vinnie Paul and Dimebag Darrel, Pantera disappeared into heavy metal history as one of the original powerhouses of the 90s. Frontman Phil Anselmo after the band split battled drink and controversy to come back from metal oblivion to reunite the band with none other than guitar legend Zach Wilde and bring that raw southern metal sound back, and oh they brought it back hard! From the start to the finish they gave 110% and played a set list a pantera fan could only dream of. Phil came across humble and emotional like a changed man who was truly grateful for this second chance, his voice and performance was on point. Zach needs no review, one of the Greatest guitar players of a generation and delivered the late Dimebags music with precision and power. Overall the performance, the set and stage effects made for one of the greatest live shows of recent times, combined with this date being the final date of the tour, celebrities and other bands joined them on stage for their most famous song "walk". The atmosphere was electric at the sold out wembley arena. 9.5/10 one of the greatest shows I've ever attended and had the privilege of being in the front row.
