A H-U-G-E shoutout to Nikon for the loaner time with the Nikon Zf,
this thing has been an absolute joy on our recent adventures!
From moody night-time strolls under glowing streetlights, to properly sodden hikes in Buxton (The rain up at Solomon's Temple was typically relentless), to my usual obsessive lighthouse chasing along the coast... this camera has been obnoxiously fun to use, consistently performant through wind, wet, and low light.
The files are WONDERFUL to work with giving me that satisfying itch when editing the files and the straight-out-of-camera Monochrome images barely any tweaking.
And the handling? Near PERFECT, the brass dials just feel right, even when everything else is soaked, allowing me to change camera settings, even when the camera is turned off.
Honestly, it's cameras like this that remind you an instrument can be genuinely beautiful AND ruthlessly effective.
No compromises, pure joy.
Bravo Nikon, bravo. ❤️
P.S. you say it was based on the FM2 but I KNOW you meant the F3 😉
