Perched on the vast sands of Magheraclogher Strand, the shipwreck of 'Bad Eddie' (Cara na Mara) is a hauntingly beautiful sight and a must-visit. While impressive against the open strand, it would feel even more atmospheric when surrounded by the incoming tide, timings everything!

Having found a spare 5 minutes, I'm trying to catch up on a few edits, this one - hiding away in the corner of my hard-drive from October 2024
"Scrabo Aurora" Donaghadee was just the warmup. As we drove home, the sky broke wide open over Scrabo Tower—forcing us to pull in and stand spellbound under a roaring canopy of emerald and crimson fire.

Tollymore Forest Park in County Down is home to the legendary Foley’s Bridge, a structure rich with 18th-century charm. Estate records reveal it was commissioned in 1787 by James Hamilton, Earl of Clanbrassil, who named it after his wife's niece, Harriot Foley. What makes this bridge truly special is the row of round stones tracing the arch—affectionately called "bap-stones" because they resemble freshly baked baps/rolls. Despite their bakery-inspired nickname, they are actually river-worn boulders, crafted by nature and time before finding their place in history.
