The game last Saturday (14th June 2025) between the Trojans and the Vikings was played mostly in the rain. reminded me about other Trojans games back in 2019 played in similar conditions. So I went back and trawled through the catalogue and I found rainy day games at Deramore with the Rebels and the South Dublin Panthers (for a future post). But the picture above was taken on the day I got the worst soaking at a football game. This was back in July 2015 when the Trojans played the Vikings at Deramore. I was ill prepared. The coat I thought was waterproof was not and I had no leggings. By the final whistle every stitch of clothing was wet through. Lesson learnt - I immediately invested in some decent wet gear which is still in use. I love shooting in heavy rain. It adds drama and practically all the sports pictures that have done well for me in competitions have been shot in the rain.
