❓Which would you choose - light wood or dark wood finish for this ‘Glenariff Falls’ piece?

Framing a painting can really transform the piece. It becomes part of the artwork and can change the styling of painting in your home if you want a contemporary or traditional look, or something completely unique. I personally love a raw wood frame that reflects the natural earthy feel of my work.

(I’ll let you know which one we decided on when it’s finished…)

This painting is currently with The Framing Garage, Belfast being transformed for a customer!

August was a big month.

We had some amazing opportunities to work with businesses in Belfast to bring together teams and I taught the joy of art to 60 people this month!
Had some wholesome moments with friends and family.
Danced and soaked up the atmosphere at the Fleadh.
Snuck in a trip to London to visit friends and loved the Frida Kahlo Tate exhibition.
Had lots of print orders and sold two original paintings. ❤️
Joined the Critical Mass cycle and popped in to the amazing The Designerie | Irish Craft & Homewares - definitely worth a trip.
Finished the month with an all seasons in a day van adventure in the North Coast.

Not sure if I’m ready for Autumn yet, but definitely looking forward to quieting down the social calendar. How do you feel about the Summer ending?

A full on Friday as a full time artist in Belfast (who works part-time as well). My artist days are full on - I love the chaos that comes with running my own business and I love that every day is different. The thought of a 9-5 scares me now.

Fun details from some works in progress. I love this first stage of painting, creating layers and playing with different techniques. It builds a gorgeous depth and helps to creative a composition for the next layers.

While I build these layers I don’t really think of how the finished painting will look. This stage is just for the imagination and energy to flow and create with whatever comes to mind in the moment.

My latest collection of paintings will be released to my email subscribers first. If you want to be in the loop - Link is in my Bio to sign up! ✨

The sights and sounds of a London weekend.
We had the best few days in the big smoke visiting friends last week. My first time and I already want to go back! I visited the Freda Kahlo exhibition in the Tate Modern, such a fascinating story and incredible legacy.

London I will be back soon!
