Jonny Clyde - Photography Landscape photography from Northern Ireland. While studying Interactive Multimedia Design I completed a module on photography which is where my passion began.

Since graduating I have been a graphic designer for some big companies, and photography has always went hand-in-hand with that. More recently however, I have began mixing my love for the outdoors and being active with my photography through landscape and street photography.

Mountain of the Flagstones

These towering cliffs, among the highest in Europe, are woven into the fabric of Irish folklore. The name acts as a call to tread lightly on the flagstones that pave the way to panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean meeting the sky.

Country roads, take me home…

Well, technically I wasn’t going home, I was going to Slieve League, but that could be considered my spiritual home.

Always enjoy the drive along the Glengesh Pass on this route, it is worth taking a little pit stop to really appreciate the views.

The rugged edge of Éire

Where the Sturrall’s weathered cliffs meet relentless Atlantic water in an untamed landscape, shaped by the raw power of nature’s elements, it truly captures the wild spirit of Ireland’s northwest.

Standing in the shallow sea, seeing it swirl and feeling it twirl around you with each pulse of the swell, is quite simply… therapy.

Highly recommend.
Will return.

A Meteorological Metaphor

A series of pictures that perfectly sum up the setting sun as we try to grasp a final breath of hot air before the dark, cool, winter arrives in its place.

Each day ends with the sun setting, the last light exploding with colour before the glow disperses into darkness. Squeezing out every last drop of warmth for those willing to share the moment. A celebration of another full day we are privileged to have had coming to an end. And we hope it isn’t a goodbye, but rather a “see you soon”.

In memory of Granny Jean. My biggest fan.

What lies beneath

Next time you stand on Magheracross View Point, be aware that you are actually standing above the Wishing Arch.

A Rueing Rath

It is rather typical of a sky to catch fire above Rathlin Island, and the cliffs of the eastern Rue Point to ignite when I have travelled without my gear. But as the saying goes, “the best camera is the one on you.” In this case, it’s the good old fashioned iPhone. Better to have something, than nothing.

All this adds fuel to my recent obsession to purchase a Fujifilm X100VI. If you support my decision, please feel free to donate to my cause in exchange for work, prints, buying my current gear or anything really 😬
