HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY!

Over the years, I've had fantastic opportunities working with some of the most remarkable and strong women across the country.

There's absolutely nothing I love more than getting to speak to all of you lovely ladies during our sessions and hearing your stories, keep being the beautiful souls that I know you are!

Welcome to 2021!

I'm posting after taking quite the hiatus during 2020, as I felt that taking some time to myself and looking after my own health & wellbeing was crucial during these unprecedented times.

As 2020 has now drawn to a close, I wanted to take a few moments to look back upon the year to reflect and appreciate everything that it had blessed me with. It was certainly a year to remember for everyone, whether that be for good, bad or indifferent reasons.

It started just as any other year would; feeling fresh, nice, normal but no one could have predicted how our lives and world as we knew it would be flipped upside down come March.

As much as this year has been...a lot... it has taught me a new sense of patience, to enjoy my own company (and a new love for loungewear attire). It has also blessed me with experiences and achievements that I could never have expected, from GRADUATING my university degree at home, in the midst of a PANDRMIC to SELLING my work to the ARTS COUNCIL (!!!) these things are still completely unbelievable to me, many maaany tears of joy have been shed and those "pinch me" moments are still just as frequent.

I wanted to take a few moments to appreciate and thank every single one of you for your support, encouragement and being for me throughout this year, it truly means a lot and I'll never be able to thank you enough.

So here's to 2021, happy new year & I hope it treats you all well, let's goooo!

My pieces on the wall from our recent group exhibition in Belfast Exposed, 'Human Condition'.

This exhibition displayed the work of 's 2020 Photography Graduates and what a great exhibition it was!

2020 was a tough year for myself, many fellow students and teaching staff at UUB but we pulled through, graduated, came out the other side and Belfast Exposed kindly hosted an exhibition to show off all of our hard work and determination - not only from this year, but from the past three years of our degree.

As university students, we mightn't have had the traditional send off that we may have hoped for but we came together and made the best of the current situation.

A huge thanks to Belfast Exposed Photography Gallery, Haley Morris-Cafiero - Photographer/Artist Page, Ulster University & everyone else involved! ❤️📸

🎉 🎓 I GRADUATED! 🎓 🎉

I've definitely taken somewhat of a hiatus from social media throughout the lockdown and pandemic situation, I felt that it was a time in which I needed to take a step back from social media to take the time to look after myself and my loved ones. There was a lot of panic in the air, especially on social media platforms, so I believed that it was best to remove myself from that.

Throughout the lockdown period, of course on campus teaching for my university degree was put on a halt and all further learning and classes were online and from home - a fairly strange situation for many but it was something we had to adjust to with the ongoing pandemic.

I went through a huge wave of self doubt, unsure how I would be able to continue my degree from home, how I would be able to continue making the work I'm passionate about from home, without the help of models and no photography studio available to me but I knuckled down, got creative with myself and my environment and continued onwards.

Without the ongoing support from my university lecturers, I'm not sure how I would have managed throughout that period but I am so pleased to say that we got through it together and I have now graduated with a 2:1 in my BA Hons in Photography With Video from / .

I even have the certificate to prove it (or stare at in disbelief...)!

CHEERS TO MY PEERS FROM CLASS OF COVID-19, WE DID IT! 🎓🥂🎉
