It was great to be asked to photograph SoccerRockz FC’s end of season presentation again yesterday.

The weather certainly didn’t dampen the occasion with plenty of smiles and appreciation for all involved at such a fantastic grassroots club.

MFFL FINALS DAY PHOTOS! ⚽📸

Thank you to the Midlands Football Fitness League for asking me to cover their first-ever Finals Day at Kirby Muxloe FC.

It was an absolute privilege to be pitchside to capture the drama, the goals, and the incredible community spirit that defines this league.

The MFFL isn't just any football league. It is a community-led, not-for-profit organisation built on the foundation of bringing men together through football, fitness, and mutual support. Specifically, it provides a dedicated, structured space for players with a BMI of 27.5+ to stay active, build confidence, and transform their health through the game they love. When a previous 11-a-side fitness competition model was suddenly withdrawn across the region, these clubs refused to let their communities fade away. They stepped up, worked together, and built the MFFL from scratch to keep competitive, 11 a side grassroots football alive.

Girls U17/U18 County Cup Final Photos

The Leicestershire & Rutland County FA County Cup final between Cosby United Youth & Junior Football Club Girls U17s and Barrow Town Girls FC U18s at Holmes Park was an absolute classic, showcasing everything that makes grassroots football so special.

Cosby United Girls showed massive resilience, coming from behind twice to take a breath-taking game all the way to penalties, with Barrow Town ultimately taking the trophy. Cosby’s second equaliser was an absolute worldie of a free-kick from outside the area.

Huge congratulations to Barrow Town Girls for a fantastic cup-winning performance, and massive respect to Cosby United Girls for a phenomenal battle.

For some of these girls, the final whistle may have marked the end of their youth football journey. That’s exactly why I love being a sports photographer. Managers, players, and parents will now have those moments, and that unbelievable free-kick, captured forever.

The Tamworth Junior Football League U14s Sheila Scott Cup was a closely contested final this morning between two teams who finished 1st and 2nd in their league.

Elford Boys FC's two first half goals were enough for them to lift the cup despite a late goal and push for an equaliser by Polesworth Swifts Junior FC U14s Clarets.

There were some impressive trophies on display for the winners and runners up!
