I enjoy small, intimate weddings just as much as big ones — for their slower rhythm and the time they allow for couple portraits ❤️

ꜱᴇᴄʀᴇᴛ ᴘʀᴏᴘᴏꜱᴀʟ ɴᴇᴀʀ ʙᴀᴛʜ 💍

If you’re travelling from far away to visit historic Bath and thinking about proposing — but don’t want to be the centre of attention in a crowded city — this might be helpful.

Daniel and Whitney came all the way from America. Daniel knew he wanted to visit Bath, but he also wanted the proposal itself to be private and connected to nature. They love hiking and the countryside, so we planned the proposal somewhere very close to Bath rather than right in the city — followed by a hike and time in Bath later for a special meal.

Before their trip, I scouted a few quiet, beautiful spots with a view around Bath and shared all the details with Daniel.

The secret proposal was perfect — Whitney had no idea, was incredibly excited, and said yes 💍

If you’re planning a proposal in or near Bath, feel free to DM me and I’ll send you a link with location ideas 💡

Sunset Couple Photography at Stourhead |
Montse & Paco ♥️

Couple sessions are some of my absolute favourites to photograph :) Especially when you feel that instant connection with the couple from the very start. When they trust you completely to capture the feelings, the quiet moments, and the love they have for each other x

We had a 5:30 pm “sunset session” — though it wasn’t actually sunny and there was no real sunset because of the grey sky, it honestly didn’t matter. With these beautiful views and a couple that have so much love for each other , we had the most incredible time capturing all these beautiful emotions :)

A huge thank you to Anna from Stourhead for driving us around the estate and even surprising us with champagne to celebrate 🍾 their engagement. Surrounded by these stunning views, it truly felt like an experience rather than just a photoshoot :))

💡 Tip: If you’re planning a proposal, engagement, or couple session at Stourhead, make sure to book your photography permission in advance 🌿 The National Trust requires a small permit fee for professional photography which helps to maintain the gardens .

we had our session at 5:30 pm in August , just before closing, so the whole place was quiet and felt extra special :)

𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐡 | 𝐄𝐫𝐢𝐧 & 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐞

Small weddings have their own kind of magic—the energy is calmer, more personal, and I love them just as much as big weddings.

If you’re planning something similar in Bath and want coverage for your ceremony, confetti, group photos, and couple portraits, I’d recommend about 1½ to 2 hours. Enough time for all the moments that matter, without feeling rushed.

For Erin & Charlie, I arrived 15 minutes before the ceremony at the Guildhall. We had the ceremony, confetti, group shots and couple portraits in Parade Gardens all within 90 minutes.

If you’d like a few photos at your restaurant to capture the vibe, or want to explore another Bath location together, I’d recommend 2 hours.

One thing that’s worked really well for some of my couples—especially if you don’t want photos during the reception—is bringing a bottle of prosecco for a quick toast after group shots . It adds a little celebration moment and honestly helps calm the nerves before couple portraits ;)

Want a rough idea of how the timing could work for your day?

𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 Part 1
Styled and planned by and , this shoot was inspired by a love of ballet and nature. The concept focused on soft, muted tones—blush pinks, creams, greens—and natural textures like tulle and linen. The Mount Without was chosen for its raw interior, faded colours, and historic character. Together, the setting, flowers, and styling created romantic atmosphere with a creative edge—ideal for couples who want bohemian, artistic details on their day.

It’s a beautiful way to share a private moment together—and it gives you more time to enjoy your reception with your guests! 🍸

Lizzie & Oli chose to do just that, and they absolutely nailed it. We had around an hour before the ceremony and started with their First Look outside Rook Lane Chapel. From there, we walked to the church , stopping for portraits along the way. I had scouted the area beforehand to find the best spots for couple portraits—and dad-and-daughter First Look.

The church was just a 3-minute walk from the venue, along a pretty street with beautiful stone steps.

Everything was perfect : the weather was warm and dry, and the family was super organised and ready right on time—which made all the difference!

If you’re considering this option, I’d be happy to help scout the perfect location and advise on the timing.

The big advantage? You get uninterrupted reception drinks with your guests, lots of candid photos and beautiful portraits ❤️

𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝘄𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘁?

No timeline, no guests waiting—just the two of you 🥰

It’s perfect if the weather wasn’t great on the day, or if your timeline was so intense you barely had a chance for any proper couple portraits or maybe you just want to wear your outfits again and create something more personal and artistic.

📸 𝟲 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝘀𝗸 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿

𝟭. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆?
If you want more time at your reception with family and friends, ask about how long group shots and couple portraits take. Typically, if you have 1.5-2 hours between your ceremony and wedding breakfast (pretty standard), you ‘ll want to know how quickly we can get through the important shots. Here is my usual timeline:

• Group shots: 15-20 minutes for 5-8 groups
• Couple portraits: 20-30 minutes

That leaves 30-40 minutes for candid shots. Keep in mind, the longer your guests gather, the longer it takes.

𝟮. 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗜 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘆?
Make sure you know when and how you get your photos. Will your guests be able to download them easily?

𝟯. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀?
Ask about any extra fees. If albums are included, find out how many spreads or pages come with the package. 50-70 pages is a good range; fewer than 40 might require an upgrade.

𝟰. 𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲?
If you prefer to keep your photos private, mention this upfront. Some photographers rely on sharing content to book future weddings.

𝟱. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲?
Feeling relaxed is key to natural photos! Ask how the photographer helps you feel at ease throughout the day. I guide my couples, chat with them, play some music and shoot in between moments.

𝟲. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘂𝗽 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱?
Life happens! Make sure your photographer has a backup plan (e.g., a trusted photographer they can recommend).

⚡️When chatting with your wedding photographer, pay attention to the vibe. If you feel connected, relaxed, and enjoy the conversation that Is a good sign! I do my best work when couples trust me, and we can joke and chat. It’s a key for natural, authentic photos.
