We all have a place which we love to keep visiting. One of mine is with the cheeky Highland Cows of the Peak District.

I went at the end of last month, I had delayed the visit due to waiting and hoping for the heather to pop, alas it never did.

However there was more highland Cow's around than I had ever seen, counting about 20 between cow and calf.

For a change they were integrated with the non-highland cows. So I had to keep my distance a bit more on this visit. I always keep a safe distance but it seems the non highland were at times matching my step.

This little one took the long way round and had no issues posing for me.

I managed to get a patch of the still lively heather in the foreground of the shot but not how i'd seen Wes Kristopher Photography take his dreamy highland shots over the years.
Alas 2026 is a new year so hopefully nature will be on our side.

In the mean time enjoy this little cheeky Moo!

Another View of the Bluebell Woods from the middle of the month. Love the winding path, you can see in the background some of the twigs that fell from the storm.

Alas the Sunrise was not meant to be, quite a moody Vibe to our Adventure in the woodlands to see the Bluebells. The weather had meant damage to trees, paths blocked off and carpets of bluebells inaccessible to. But the soft colours gave a different feel.

Rows and Rows of colour.

Pinks, Reds, Greens, Yellow and Orange. There was some purples ones too but they were planted slightly later. I know the weather has been a bit mixed this past week, but lets hope the wind hasn't blown too many tulip petals off.

The colours that were on offer were amazing. 100% my favourite colour. ...

Yesterday we went to the Tulip Farm in Warwickshire. I had never seen so many tulips. I was in Awe of the colours. My Dad and I decided the Pink and White ones in this photo may have been our favourites as they look like the Squishy Sweets.

We are still in triple figures until the Annual Skomer Trip. I am not wishing the year away, i would be grateful for a more chilled one, but the excitement still remains. Next year, I would like to stay on the Island for a few nights. Get a different perspective with sunrise and sunset.

First shot to share with you of the Highland Cows.

I always get asked where do you see the highland Cows. Someone told me today they drove from Northampton to Northumberland to see them but was unsuccessful. We have some I believe just 10 miles away but I have been visiting the Peak District Highland Cows since 2020.
