📍 Barton-upon-Humber — Market Day

Market days seem to come around quickly again! As you all know, I do love a market day.

We had the odd shower here and there, but for the most part, the weather held out. It was still pretty busy too, which was great to see. And got to see Gary at the border, which makes my day complete.

It was lovely to chat and speak with so many people today; it definitely made the bad weather feel not so bad. I thought I’d upload these before my third set of car photos, haha.

I also got my beef bombs and pork pie fix from Amie and Liam at the East Marsh Farm stall—a local farm with great produce, as always.

Don’t forget, Barton Carnival is on next week at Baysgarth Park. Fingers crossed the weather is kind to us! It’s another event I always love going to and photographing, so I’m really looking forward to it.

The Viking Way Cafe Bar - est 866 Street Weekend 2026 Santa Pod Raceway

I think I’ve gone through most of the photos now, though there are still a few left to edit and look over. I’m really enjoying looking back through them all.

More sleep is definitely needed now, haha!

I’ll be back out tomorrow for the Barton market, of course.

What a brilliant day down at The Point yesterday!

Santa Pod Raceway held their annual Street Weekend event, with The Point car park being used as one of the checkpoints — and I don’t think I’ve ever seen that many cars there at once.

A big shoutout to The Viking Cafe for doing a fantastic job organising the event and setting everything up.

It looks like the next few days will be full of car and people uploads, as I’m not even halfway through the shots I took and edited!

📍 Barton-upon-Humber & Barrow Haven

Yesterday was a bit of a washout with the on-and-off rain, but I managed to squeeze in a half-hour walk around town between the showers before heading back home.

I also worked on a few more past and present photos, which turned out really well and were great fun to put together.

Later on, I headed back out to visit the classic car show at The Haven Inn, but with the weather being as it was, I’m guessing only a couple of cars made it along. Instead, I decided to head down to the Haven for a walk, check out the high tide, and take in the stormy skies.

A few photos from my walk around town over the last few days, which I’ve only just had a chance to look through, along with some from today's walk in Willingham Woods with my family.

spent a few hours at the beer festival on Friday and Saturday. It’s always such a brilliant event, even when I’m drinking 0% beer! 😀🍻

Definitely a few quieter days needed now… haha.

A lovely chilled day today, with a little wander through Baysgarth Park and a really nice chat with a couple from Winterton who were sitting on one of the benches.

I couldn’t resist capturing Rufus, who is 12 years young and full of character.

The beer festival tent is up now too, all ready for the weekend.

It’s been warmer today, but with a lovely cool breeze, which made it perfect for a nice walk out.

Finally able to properly sit down and enjoy the moment — listening to the church bells from St Mary’s, reading my book, and sipping a zero-percent beer… or two.

I’ve flicked through this book so many times, but never really had the time to properly read it until now. I was here the night before too, doing exactly the same. It’s much cooler this time of the day now, and honestly, this is heaven. 🕊️
