Altar to the God of Lost Gloves How would an Alien Anthropologist visiting Earth view discarded personal items like gloves? They must be religious items ... to a God of Lost Gloves perhaps!?

Surely such important items cannot just be unwanted rubbish no one can be bothered to pick up? Not just litter or unwanted rubbish that no one can be bothered to pick up - personal items sacrificed to the God of Lost Gloves must hold such high religious significance as to be an offering, a sacrifice, a special donation to the deity ... surely. No one would want to lose such clothing without cause.
