🐶🎂 HAPPY 13TH BIRTHDAY TO OUR FAVOURITE OFFICE ASSISTANT – ROSIE! 🎂🐶

Today we’re celebrating a very special milestone, Rosie is officially 13 years old! 🎉🥳

She has been by my side every single step of the way since Mirror Image Photography began 14 years ago. She’s the best office assistant you could ask for, always ready to pose for the camera, and she’s even got her own fan club! So many of our loyal customers have watched both Rosie and the business grow over the years, and quite often we get requests: “Is Rosie coming along too?” 😂❤️

This past year has brought some wonderful changes too, I’ve found myself leaning more into commercial photography work, and honestly? I’ve absolutely loved it! It’s been such a privilege to meet so many amazing people along the way, from the lovely Lord Patrick Vallance to brilliant entrepreneurs bursting with fresh ideas and inspiration. ✨

I’ve also been thrilled to expand into property photography, and I’m now working alongside the team at moov Estate Agents capturing their properties in the best possible light. 🏡📸

I want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has followed, supported and trusted me with your precious memories and projects over the years. 💛

Just to reassure you, while I’m enjoying these new areas of work, I’m still very much doing what I’ve always loved: family photoshoots and small weddings. 💍👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

🌸Happy International Women’s Day! 🌸

A big shout out to all the incredible businesswomen I’ve met on my journey as a self-employed woman. It hasn’t always been easy, starting out at the bottom of the pile at school meant I’ve had to work that little bit harder, but I’ve proved to myself that I can achieve anything I set my mind to.

From insurance, to law, and now estate agency, it’s been an amazing journey. I’m so excited to be working with a fantastic new local business, moov, and I can’t wait to get stuck in!

This year has already been so rewarding and I’ve met some truly amazing people. One highlight was meeting the lovely Sara Davies & Claire Balding, who is such an inspiration to any woman in business.

I’m also so lucky to have some incredible women in my life, who always have my back. My wonderful nana was a huge inspiration to me and always taught me that with hard work you can achieve anything. And my mam, (my mam avoids the camera)who taught me how to care for and look after my family. Mother Maureen who harness my entrepreneurial brain and keeps me grounded. Claire Cotgrave for being on the same wavelength, giving me the courage to stand up and do a presentation and helping me find my voice. Smail for being my brilliant friend for the last 36 years. Liz Nelson who is alway there for me to bounce ideas after a head fart and guide me to the right connections and introductions to some brilliant people in business who has helped me grow in business and as a person.

🌟 EXCITING NEWS ALERT! 🌟

As some of you may have noticed, I've been off the grid since Christmas, but I'm thrilled to finally share why! I've been busy working and collaborating with an exciting new business launching an estate agency right here in Northumberland covering all of the North East. 🏡✨

Stay tuned as I’ll be sharing more details soon. I can't wait to tell you all about the amazing opportunities and services they will be offering.

Mirror Image Photography will be still going and I shall continue to take bookings here at the studio, but I have had to say goodbye to the larger schools and nurseries, as it is not going to be sustainable for me to do both.

Your support means the world to me as I embark on this new journey.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

As 2025 draws to a close, I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported Mirror Image Photography this year.

It’s been an incredible year photographing both new and existing schools and nurseries, and I’m so grateful for the continued trust and new opportunities that have come my way.

One of the real highlights for me has been stepping into public speaking, delivering talks at universities and colleges about my journey from education into employment and self-employment. Being able to inspire young minds and encourage them to believe in themselves has been genuinely rewarding.

I’ve got some exciting projects planned for 2025, and I can’t wait to share more about them with you in 2026!

For now, I’d like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and all the very best for 2026. Thank you again for being part of the journey 🎄✨

Hello everyone! 🌧️📸

As we dive into the rhythm of a new school term, the summer holidays seem like a distant dream, and it's back to the hustle with full force! With two school newsletters and a flurry of emails, I'm definitely keeping busy.

This week marked the beginning of our school photography sessions, and what a start it's been! Despite the less than ideal weather, we managed to capture two schools outdoors, braving both rain at the start and end of the week.

Looking ahead, I'll be spending next week at my desk, diligently processing last week's images and preparing to send out login details for your child's online album. If any parents find it challenging to place orders online, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm more than happy to assist you personally here at the office. Hello everyone!

I know I’m a bit late to join the crowd, but I’ve been busy catching up on a mountain of tasks that piled up while Lewis and Georgia were on their summer break. I’ve been focusing on processing photo sessions and orders, and I’m finally getting a grip on my workload. Transitioning back into the school routine after an amazing six weeks with my family, filled with special memories, has been a journey.

This year, Lewis started high school, and it’s been a whirlwind of emotions. Helping him navigate this transition and encouraging him to take public transport to school has been a step towards independence, which, as a parent, is both challenging and rewarding.

With school and nursery back in session, my studio availability is a bit limited. However, I do have some weekend slots open in November for Christmas sessions, so if you’re interested, please get in touch to check availability.
