Christenings aren’t something I photograph very often, but when they look like this, I wonder why not.

A beautiful church service filled with love, family and tradition, followed by the most gorgeous afternoon tea at Ettington Park Hotel. The kind of day where the little moments matter just as much as the big ones.

The proud smiles. The cuddles between generations. Tiny details carefully chosen. The people who travelled near and far to celebrate together.

These are the moments that become memories, and it’s always a privilege to be trusted to preserve them.

A very special day for a very special little one. 🤍

Day 3.

The mountain stood quietly in the background, a reminder of yesterday’s challenge.

The wind, the miles, the aching legs, the moments where one foot simply had to go in front of the other.

Today was different.

A slower rhythm.
A gentler pace.
A chance to pause long enough to notice it all.

The beauty.
The gratitude.
The unexpected gifts that arrive when we choose a different path.

This retreat was a first for me too, and I sincerely hope it won’t be the last.

What Tracy has created through her own lived experience is something truly special. Yes, she coaches. Yes, she helps people navigate life without alcohol.

But what she’s really built is a community.

A place where people can show up exactly as they are.
A place where conversations go deeper, laughter comes easier, and connections are made that feel like they’ve been waiting to happen all along.

Standing beside Lake Coniston, beneath the mountain we climbed just the day before, it felt impossible not to feel grateful.

For change.

For courage.

For fresh starts.

And for the wonderful people we meet when we dare to do things a little differently.

Day 2. Hike day.

10 miles. 802m climbed. Wind speeds of 40km/h.

A day for challenge, reflection, deep conversations and that wonderful feeling of satisfaction that comes from doing something hard.

And somehow, not a single drop of rain all day.

Old Man of Coniston, we walked all over you.

What Tracy is creating through her sobriety and identity coaching is something really special. More than a retreat, it’s a community of women choosing to live with greater clarity, vitality and purpose.

A life with fewer numbing habits.
A life with more connection.
A life with more glimmers.

Today was a reminder that sometimes the hardest paths lead to the most beautiful views. ✨🥾⛰️

Day 1 of photographing Tracy’s sober retreat in the Lake District ☀️

After a four-hour drive north, we arrived to sunshine, rolling hills and the kind of views that make you instantly breathe a little deeper.

One by one, the ladies arrived (with varying degrees of success on the gravel driveway 😆), bags were unpacked, introductions were made, and before long we were gathered around homemade pizzas, getting to know one another.

The evening finished with a gentle warm-up walk and some truly spectacular views across the fells.

A beautiful start to what promises to be a very special few days.

Tomorrow? A mammoth hike around the Isle of Coniston awaits. Wish us luck… 🥾

I took the kids on holiday to Pembrokeshire.

As any responsible parent would, I then dragged them onto a beach with an aerial performer and accidentally created some of my favourite photographs in twenty years.

Not quite what they had in mind when I said we’d go to the seaside.

I’ve photographed weddings on safari, businesses all over the country, hundreds of families, newborns, horses, kitchens, dogs and just about everything in between.

Yet somehow, a sunshiny evening in the Welsh sand dunes, with .in.motion trusting me completely and the kids providing occasional behind-the-scenes commentary and footage, produced something that feels a little bit special.

These images are part of a series that has reminded me why I fell in love with photography in the first place.

No pressure.
No expectations.
Just creativity for creativity’s sake.

And apparently a strong chance of sand ending up absolutely everywhere.

Some shoots are about far more than taking photographs.

I’ve known Charlotte for years and was lucky enough to photograph her and Ed’s wedding, so it felt really special to spend the day at Pudlicote Farm, documenting a small glimpse of life behind the scenes.

From Hereford cattle to sheep, pigs, geese and hens, to conversations about conservation, wetlands, wildflower meadows and farming for future generations, there was so much more to this story than I ever could have captured in a single day.

And perhaps my favourite part was seeing Jack alongside it all - learning, exploring and growing up immersed in a way of life that is as much family as it is farming.

A few snippets from today. Many more to come.

What you see vs what I see…

The first clips and pic in this reel were taken by the kids.

They saw .in.motion standing in a beautiful wisteria and naturally pointed the camera straight at her.

I saw something different.

I saw harsh light.
I saw distracting shadows.
I saw a photograph that wasn’t quite there yet.

Then I turned around.

And there it was.

The light.
The atmosphere.
The story.
The magic.

One of my favourite images from the entire shoot.

This is why photography is so much more than owning a camera.

It’s not about pressing a button.

It’s about seeing light, noticing details, understanding how a scene will translate into a photograph, and sometimes walking straight past the obvious shot to find the extraordinary one hiding nearby.

The difference between taking a picture and creating an image often comes down to what you see.

And after more than 20 years behind a camera, I can promise you that I’m always looking for the magic.

Some shoots are special. Some feel like coming full circle.

A few years ago, I had the honour of photographing Nikki and Eli’s wedding day. Last week, I found myself standing in their beautiful home, camera in hand once again, this time photographing their gorgeous baby girl, Poppy.

And what a little beauty she is.

There is something incredibly moving about being invited back into people’s lives for these milestone moments. From wedding days to growing families, it’s a privilege I never take for granted. To be trusted with memories that will only become more precious with time is one of the greatest gifts this job gives me.

Poppy was perfection from start to finish, and together with her mum and dad, made this shoot an absolute joy. Their home provided the most beautiful backdrop, filled with warmth, love and all the little details that make these early days so special.

Thank you, Nikki and Eli, for inviting me back to tell another chapter of your story.

Welcome to the world, Poppy. You are already so very loved.

What a week.

A week of sunshine, sea air, endless adventures, and the kind of slower pace that makes you wonder why life can’t always feel this simple.

The weather has been exquisite. The company of Ted and Amelie has been wonderful. There has been no stress, no drama, no rushing around. Just beach days, farm life, laughter, and plenty of moments that reminded me how much joy there is in the little things.

And then there was the shoot with Emba.

I’ve photographed a lot of people over the years, and I’ve had many shoots that I’ve called my favourite. But this one? I genuinely think it might have taken the top spot. It was creative, inspiring, a little bit magical, and exactly the kind of photography that makes my soul light up. There are lots more photos to come, and I can’t wait to share them with you.

Am I sad to be heading home tomorrow? Very much so.

Would I like to live in Pembrokeshire? Yes. I say it every single time I come here.

Am I unbelievably lucky to have family who trust me with their home, their farm, and their beautiful corner of the world while they holiday?

Abso-bloody-lutely.

Until next time, Wales. 🌊✨

Sometimes you photograph for a business.
Sometimes you photograph for a brief.
And sometimes…you create simply for the joy of creating.

Tonight was one of those nights.

An evening with the utterly captivating Emba - circus artist, aerial bungee performer, wild creative soul and honestly one of the most magnetic humans I’ve ever had in front of my camera.

We started at her beautiful Pembrokeshire home surrounded by dreamy woodland light, flowers and soft countryside stillness…before heading to the dunes and eventually the sea, where she quite literally threw herself fully into the moment.

And my god.

I don’t even really have the words yet.

These images already feel like art to me rather than photographs. Creative freedom. No pressure. No expectations. Just instinct, movement, trust and making something beautiful for the sake of making something beautiful.

If this little sneak peek is anything to go by…there is SO much more goodness still to come. 🌊✨
