Stunning moon halo out tonight over Teconnaught, Co. Down - a ring of light that forms around the Moon, often appearing on clear nights. The halo forms when moonlight passes through ice crystals in high-altitude clouds.

It can arrive ahead of a weather front, so a halo can indicate that rain may arrive soon… storm Boelo tomorrow!

The Northern Lights photographed at Spelga Dam this evening. The silhouette of the old road in the foreground against the backdrop of the Mourne Mountains. A nice display with pillars of lights in between the green and magenta colours, before cloud came in from the north-west.
