Review of Aberdeenshire Young Carer Strategy – Please Give Us Your Views

Aberdeenshire Council is currently reviewing its Aberdeenshire Young Carer Strategy, which is our plan of what we have been doing and what we plan to do to support young carers over the next five years. We are asking young carers and adults who support them, to give us their views on how we support young carers to sustain their caring role and have a meaningful life alongside caring.

A young carer is anyone under the age of 18 (or 18 if still at school) who cares for a family member or friend due to illness, disability, mental ill-health, alcohol or drug dependency.

The surveys are hosted online at Engage Aberdeenshire and paper copies are available from Aberdeenshire Libraries and Service Points. Young carers completing the survey can chose to enter a prize draw for chance to win an Amazon voucher or views can be submitted anonymously.

Closing date for survey responses is 22nd September 2024.
