Solitude.. Lagangarbh looks like a cottage someone forgot to collect, sitting at the foot of Buachaille Etive Mor. Once a farmers home, now a base for walkers, it’s as simple and practical as the landscape around it.... Just a small white speck holding its ground while the mountain behind it does all the talking!

Plan A: Ben Nevis via CMD Arête.

Plan B (when Scottish weather had other ideas): Shoot a shipwreck in Fort William.

Though it was disappointing to rock up to Scotland in less than ideal weather, knowing the snow and ice had all but melted away.... We still managed to keep ourselves busy.

I'll be back, I want to do this route in full winter conditions so there is always next season.

Sometimes the mountain says no, but the adventure remains...just with cameras instead of crampons.

Battling winds so fierce they stole the breath straight from our lungs, we explored the Quiraing on the Isle of Skye last week... Here's momentarily dwarfed by these ancient titans of Skye, stealing a shot. The hike up to the Needle had us leaning at impossible angles but that's the price of admission to Skye's most dramatic scenery. Worth every gasp and stumble!

How awesome is Autumn?

It's probably the best time of year for photography/hiking. Deep contrasted autumnal colours, cloud inversions, sunrise/sunset times are more agreeable. I love it!
