Vegetable season is officially started! Along with the spring like feeling from the wonderful sunshine. Oh and a unwilling helper that decided it would be a great idea to keep my coat warm….. how thoughtful 🙄

A nice morning, albeit dull windy and drizzly, to blow the cobwebs away, perch on a stone and gather your thoughts (until that cloud came over). Whilst wondering at what point Daisy would take off, with her ears ever increasingly becoming horizontal!

It has been a very busy day, digging lots of holes in the garden, getting filthy, burying biscuits, then forgetting where the biscuits were buried and coping with a visit from my parents. After being sat in my chair warming it up to a nice temperature, someone has come and pinched it whilst I was filling the fire up! It’s definitely a dogs life.

Releasing my next two images for the up and coming 2021 calendar. No month has been associated with the images yet but I’m sure that it would not be hard to guess where they may end up! All images featured in the calendar are from the Peak District area.

‘Dance to the rhythm’
In the heart of the wood , I stumbled across a dense group of silver birch, all swaying happily the sound of the howling wind. The resulting image is my attempt to capture the spirit of the scene.

A cluster of silver birch dancing to the rhythm of the prevailing wind.

‘Just mere memories’
The bow of a washed up boat, weather and time had taken their toll upon the vessel.
No doubt this boat had been used frequently in its hay day, however those days looked long gone. What grabbed my attention was the patterns and contrasting lines from how the boat was sat. Now to spend it final days cast upon the shoreline never to set sail again.

‘Bleak, lonely life’
I was struck by this tree, I’m not sure whether the image is good or not but for some reason, I could not help but stare at the tree. Maybe I could relate to it, I’m not sure. Perched near the summit of a hill, windswept and silhouetted against a superb sunrise this image just asked to be captured.

Winter weather can be dull, damp and thoroughly miserable! However there are some experience that stay with you for a while. This particular image is one of them moments. The contrast in the cold of the snow and warm colours of the sky create a striking image. Click on the tag and it’s nearly on your wall!

Earth is what we call home. Unfortunately we are far too selfish to realise it is also home to many other lives. Watch this (you will feel despair and depressed) to see how we are destroying what we call and millions of other species call home!
