A few shots from the BVRLA's Van Plan Reception at the House of Commons yesterday.

Not sure you can get much better a location than the Houses of Parliament. Absolutely love it there every time I've been.

I don't always like lugging a big camera around with me, so I decided to take my little Sony ZV1 out for a walk around town. It was cold. It was foggy. But it was nice to get out.

The county hall tower block is pretty divisive. It dominates the Aylesbury skyline and looked quite eerie shrouded in fog yesterday, but I actually really like it. It's unapologetic in its stature, not at all trying to blend in. It's bold and it's brutalist.

And then at the other end of the spectrum, you get Pebble Lane. A quaint, cobbled little street that seeps history.

It's not every day you get to go to the Houses of Parliament, so when I was offered the chance to photograph BVRLA's parliamentary reception, I jumped at the opportunity.

The event was attended by various MPs, industry experts and thought leaders alike, as the BVRLA laid out their key policy asks.

You really couldn't ask for more on the day (other than maybe the tubes not striking). The sun was shining and the venue is just stunning.

If you've booked and experience for a loved one or even yourself, consider getting professional photos taken too so that the experience can be re-lived.

As a dog owner, I know just how important they are to the family.

They're a friend, a walking buddy, a lap warmer, a calming influence, a wrestling partner, and much more.

Before long, you struggle to remember what life was even like before you had them, and it saddens me to think that one day (although only young), our dog won't be with us any more.

That's why I like to make sure I snap her just as much as the rest of the family.

First of all it allows me to remember what she was like as a cheeky pup, and secondly, it gives me a lasting memory of a family member. Ones that I can look back on with the kids.
