Very proud to announce I have had some of my images published in Thames Life Magazine. Both front and rear covers, featuring images especially commissioned by the magazine, are of Penton Hook Lock near Staines on the River Thames.

One of my photos is being used in a campaign to protect an amazing architectural site. Mentmore Towers, a stunning building formerly owned by the Rothchilds family. If your a DC fan, you may recognise it as Wayne Towers from Batman Begins or the Spice Girls Goodbye music video...

Just been out searching for Teddy dog on behalf of . Sadly no luck as yet, but despite this, I got to meet some lovely people, both the owner and neighbours nearby, who are coming together as a community to help search for him. Im so glad to see that we are all still here for each other, community is key. If anyone has any news of sightings, please let DroneSAR know.

Had a quick look over the Queen Mary Resevoir and Sailing Club today. Even with this vast amount of water, its scary to see how low it is. Admittedly not as low as some in the area I understand, but you can clearly see the "tide" line. Ive personally seen the water level much higher in the past, and its clear from the clean white line around the edge that its low at the moment. The drought is definitely having its effect...

Another great day out with my mentor, Simon Adams practicing my 3D modelling skills. This time testing how to focus on specific areas of a building where only that data is needed. Such as the gabled end of this barn.
This is a short video of the point cloud result. Its come out really well.
Completed with the DJI Matrice 4E and Manifold 3 and processed with Metashape in this instance.

What began a year and a half ago as a simple idea to preserve a visual record of our local heritage has grown into something far larger than I ever expected. Every image has sparked memories, stories, connections and conversations that stretched across families and even continents. I have learnt just how diverse our borough is in faith, in architecture and in community, and how deeply these buildings are tied to people’s lives.

The architecture is beautiful and the history is rich, but it is the people and their stories that brought this project to life. These buildings are far more than bricks and mortar. They are anchors for the people who call Spelthorne home. The stories shared with me have been the most meaningful part. Memories passed down through generations, connections to places long left behind, and moments that shaped entire families.

I am proud to have captured these buildings from the air in a new perspective, but even more grateful for the stories they brought with them. Thank you to everyone who shared their memories along the way. This project has been a privilege to create.

After 4 days of processing 24/7 I now have a model of my kids school. Im really pleased with it. Sadly photogrammetry doesnt like the windows, and theres a lot of glass here, but overall the structure, roof and facades have rendered really well. Hopefully giving the facilities team some useful management data, as well as giving me a fantastic opportunity to practice my skills.

The resultant maps generated from these models, will help the kids learn about mapping, scale, area, georeferencing, and mathmatics in real world terms. Giving reference to practical solutions taught theoretically in the classroom. I hope it will make future lessons great fun for all involved.

After 12 hours of processing and I have an excellent map of the school that the kids will be able to use for their STEM lessons. The images also let me generate a very rough 3d model of the whole site too.
I did a much more in depth survey of the main block, which will take a fair few days to process yet, but this video is a quick fly over the site using the mapping images.
