World Giraffe Day 2021 World Giraffe Day June 21 2021 Unfortunately, with a 40% loss in total population in the last 20 years, giraffe are experiencing what is commonly referred to as a “silent extinction.” This is due to habitat loss, human encroachment, and poaching.

So it seems that Facebook have seen my requests to lift the restriction they put me under and have reversed the decision, but I'm still none the wiser as to why it happened in the first place. No acknowledgement of the lifting sent. I just had a go at posting in one of the groups I belong to and I'm no longer restricted.😀😀

So this morning, as always, I have tried to post two wildlife photos in groups that I belong to. I always post FB friendly photographs in any of the groups I belong to. Below is the message I received this morning. I have no idea why. Anyone else had this problem recently? I have sent feedback to FB, but the auto response is ambiguous about how the appeal to have this block removed will be dealt with.

Really pleased that BBC Springwatch have used my photograph to promote their feature on International Dawn Chorus Day!

Tomorrow is the day folks! It’s International Dawn Chorus Day! 🎶🐦

We will be on Instagram at 6:30am LIVE with our very own Hannah Stitfall and Jack Baddhams for a special show answering all your bird song and dawn chorus questions! 🙌

International Dawn Chorus Day is global celebration of bird song that happens now each year on the 2nd of May! This time of year birds will start to sing at 4am (some even earlier!) so get ready to set your alarms and listen to one of the best sounds in nature! And it doesn't matter where you are, whether you live in the countryside and can get to woodland or in the heart of a city or town and just open the window, you can still enjoy the birdsong just as much!
