📸 Hi, I’m Lauren – the face behind the camera!

I realised it’s been a while since I’ve properly introduced myself, so if you’re new here (or you’ve been following along for a while), hello! 🤍

I first fell in love with photography back in my High School years. I would borrow my Dad’s DSLR camera at any opportunity and fell in love with storytelling through photos. What started as a hobby quickly became something I couldn’t imagine my life without. I’m always pinching myself that this is now what I get to call my job. 🥹

These days, I specialise in weddings and at-home newborn photography because I absolutely love documenting life’s biggest milestones. They’re two completely different chapters, but they have one thing in common – they’re full of real emotion, connection and memories that deserve to be remembered.

The best part of my job? Without a doubt, it’s getting to know the wonderful people I photograph. I love watching couples completely forget the camera is there, seeing brand new parents soaking in those tiny newborn cuddles, and creating photographs that become more meaningful with every passing year.

I especially love working with people who value genuine moments over perfectly posed ones. If you want a relaxed experience, plenty of reassurance, and photographs that feel like you, we’ll probably get along really well.

When you book me, you can expect a calm, friendly approach from start to finish. I’ll guide you whenever you need it, give you space when you don’t, and make sure you leave feeling like you’ve just spent time with a friend rather than stood in front of a camera.

And a few little facts about me…
✨ I’m based just outside Arbroath on Scotland’s beautiful east coast.
🤍 I’m a mum, and family is at the heart of everything I do.
☕ I’m happiest with good coffee, fresh sea air and a camera in my hand.
✈️ I love travelling, discovering new places and making memories with my own family too.

If you’ve made it this far, thank you for being here. Whether you’re planning your wedding, expecting your first little one, or simply following along, I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. 🤍

July, you were a full one 🤍

A month of wedding mornings, car snacks, camera batteries charging in every available socket, emotional ceremonies, tiny details, lovely families, dancefloors doing exactly what dancefloors should do, and a few personal moments squeezed in between.

I always love looking back at these little monthly round-ups because so much of this job happens in the in-between. Not just the final galleries, but the journeys, the prep, the quiet editing days, the messages from couples, the behind-the-scenes bits, and the moments that remind me how lucky I am to do this for a living.

This month has been full of the kind of weddings I love most — relaxed, personal, full of atmosphere and centred around people having the best time with the ones they love.

No need for everything to be perfect. Just meaningful, joyful, and completely true to them.

Thank you to every couple and family who has trusted me this month. I’ll never not feel grateful for it.

August, let’s see what you’ve got 📸

And if you’re planning your own wedding in Dundee, Angus, Tayside or nearby, my DMs are open for enquiries.

Wondering what actually happens after you send an enquiry?

Here’s the simple version, because I know getting in touch with suppliers can sometimes feel like a whole thing.

You send me your date, venue and a little bit about what you’re planning. I’ll check availability and send over my brochure with all the details. If it feels like a good fit, we can chat through your day, what matters most to you, and any worries you might have about the photography side of things.

From there, booking is straightforward — and once you’re in the diary, I’m not just disappearing until the wedding morning.

I’m here for timeline advice, questions, reassurance, planning chats and helping you feel calm about the whole process.

Because I don’t want you to book me and feel like you’ve just ticked “photographer” off a list. I want you to feel properly looked after.

If you’re planning a relaxed wedding in Dundee, Angus, Fife, Perthshire or the surrounding areas, send me a DM with your date and venue and I’ll let you know if I’m available 🤍

A gentle little reminder that at-home newborn sessions don’t need a perfect house, a perfectly sleeping baby, or a Pinterest-worthy nursery 🤍

They just need you, your baby, and the little newborn bubble exactly as it is.

I know so many families worry their home isn’t “photo ready” or that the baby won’t settle, or that an older sibling might decide the session is the ideal time to become absolutely feral.

Please know — that is all completely normal.

These sessions are calm, slow and baby-led. There’s time for feeds, cuddles, nappy changes, snack breaks, sibling chaos and whatever else your morning brings. I’m not coming to judge your washing basket or rearrange your life into something it isn’t.

I’m there to photograph the tiny hands, sleepy snuggles, proud faces, little details and the feeling of those first days at home together.

The same couples who trust me with their wedding day often come back when their family grows, and that is honestly one of the loveliest parts of this job.

If you’re expecting and based in Dundee, Angus, Tayside or nearby, send me a DM and I’ll send over my newborn session details 📸

What if it rains on your wedding day?

Honestly — we make it work. And sometimes, it ends up being even better than expected.

I know rain is one of those things couples worry about, especially with Scottish weddings because, well… Scotland likes to keep us humble. ☔️

But rain does not ruin your photos. It just changes the plan a little.

We can use sheltered spots, cosy indoor light, umbrellas, quick five-minute breaks when the rain eases, or embrace it completely if you’re up for it. Some of my favourite wedding photographs have happened in less-than-perfect weather because the couple just leaned into the day and trusted the process.

The important thing is that your wedding still feels like your wedding. Not a weather report.

I’ll always keep an eye on the forecast, scout options, and make sure we have a calm backup plan so you’re not standing there worrying about what happens next.

So if the forecast looks a bit dramatic, please don’t panic. We’ll still get beautiful, honest, joy-filled photographs — potentially with slightly more windswept romance than planned.
