One of the many things I love about photographing weddings, is when the couple focus on keeping the day true to them, and you can just instantly feel the vibe of the couple through each stage of the day.

Not perfectly polished. Not overly traditional. Just full of personality, good atmosphere and the kinds of details that make guests smile all day long.

From Still Game quotes scattered across the tables to alpacas casually appearing during the drinks reception (iconic behaviour honestly), this day at felt relaxed, joyful and completely their own from beginning to end.

The best weddings nearly always do.

The couples I connect with most care far more about how the day feels than whether everything matches perfectly. They want their most favourite people together, a packed dancefloor, meaningful details and photographs that relive all of it back years later.

And personally, I’ll never be over a wedding where guests can quote Still Game during dinner while taking selfies with alpacas in bow ties. 🦙😆

Out of office ✨☀️

There’s something about a pre-wedding session at the beach that just slows everything right down. No pressure, just a chance to be together and enjoy the moment.

Most couples arrive a little unsure of what to expect, but that’s completely normal. I’ll gently guide you when needed, while leaving plenty of space for things to unfold naturally… the laughter, the quiet moments, the in-between bits that end up meaning the most.

This session was exactly that- relaxed, easy, and full of love and genuine connection.

Mr & Mrs McKie // Kingswood Hotel 📍

Easter Monday was spent at the Kingswood Hotel, situated right on the beautiful Fife coastline. It was one of those days that just felt easygoing from the very beginning. 🤍

Soft spring light, fresh sea air, and so many lovely in-between moments that made it all feel really special. From the quiet excitement in the morning to those just-married smiles that didn’t leave their faces all day- it all flowed so naturally.

Nothing forced, nothing overdone… just a genuinely beautiful day shared with their most favourite people. ✨

Bringing a new baby home is such a special (and often overwhelming!) time, so I’ve made booking your at-home newborn session as simple and relaxed as possible. 🤍

Here’s how it works:

✨ Step 1: Get in touch
Drop me a message while you’re still pregnant (the earlier the better!) with your due date. This allows me to keep space in my diary around your baby’s arrival.

✨ Step 2: Secure your session
Once you’re ready to go ahead, I’ll send over all the details along with a booking fee to secure your space. Everything is straightforward and guided so you know exactly what to expect.

✨ Step 3: Baby arrives
When your little one is here, just send me a quick message and we’ll choose a date that works for you- usually within the first few weeks, but I always follow your baby’s lead.

✨ Step 4: Your relaxed at-home session
I come to you, bringing a calm, gentle approach with plenty of time for feeds, cuddles and settling. No pressure, no rushing- just capturing your family as you are.

✨ Step 5: Viewing your images
After your session, you’ll receive a beautiful online gallery to look through in your own time and choose your favourites. These images can be downloaded and shared with friends and family. I also offer the option to purchase prints of your most favourite images.

Mac absolutely stole the show at his humans’ pre-wedding shoot 🐾

And honestly? Bringing your dog along is one of the best decisions you can make for your pre-wedding photos.

Not only does it help you both relax (because let’s face it, fussing over your pup is far easier than thinking about the camera), but it also makes the whole experience feel so much more like you. These shoots aren’t about stiff poses. They’re about capturing your real life together, and for so many couples, that includes a four-legged best friend.

Dogs add a natural sense of movement, fun, and a little bit of unpredictability (in the best way). The result? Genuine laughter, softer moments, and photos that feel full of personality rather than posed.

Plus, it’s a lovely way to include them in your wedding story- even if they won’t be there on the day itself.

Long nights, sleepy mornings and a completely new rhythm to everyday life.

But, they’re also full of the most meaningful little moments. Tiny fingers wrapped around yours, sleepy cuddles on the sofa, and the quiet feeling that your world has changed forever.
